One America Plaza

painting is an art we have down to a science

One America Plaza is the tallest building in San Diego, California and a prominent fixture in the waterfront district of the downtown San Diego skyline. High Reach Builds are NOT a problem at General Coatings.  Owned by the Irvine Company, and originally opened in 1991, a new coating project was needed, and General Coating was the commercial painting contractor honored with this endeavor. Standing at 500' CTBUH with 34 Floors, safety was priority number one, the second was to engineer and apply a coating that would withstand the extreme temperatures and elements that such a high-rise would endure. General Coatings effectively accomplished this project which included replacement of steel cladding panels with aluminum panels and the repainting of all structural surfaces to restore the crown present at the building's apex.

The majority of our projects are based throughout our home state of California including counties of: Imperial, Irvine, Kern, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Orange County, Ontario, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara, and Ventura
